Employment in the field of healthcare is projected to grow 15% from 2019 to 2029, much faster than the average for all occupations. This projected growth is due mainly to an aging population, creating a much greater demand for healthcare services.
As healthcare organizations grow, they naturally look internally for individuals to take leadership roles. Unfortunately, while these employees project a natural leadership ability, few, if any, have any formal leadership experience. The certification, Certified Health Facility Manager (CHFM) was created to fill this void.
Holders of the CHFM certification, will be able to add valuable insight and transferrable skills to the facilities that employ them in leadership roles.
